Autumn Weekend 01.10.-03.10.2021

Hello Autumn! You’re so beautiful! The trees turn red and yellow, finally the weather starts to blow a little more and the air feels nice and clean!

On Friday evening we, Rocki and Roman, welcome you on board of their beautiful 2-mast clipper called the “Ortolan”. After you have moved into your cabins, we gather in the cozy Livingroom where Roman shows you the way on board and also we have time to get to know each other, we serve typical Dutch snacks for a little hunger and we toast to a nice weekend together. On Saturday after breakfast we go out on deck. There, our first mate will give you a sailing instruction and you will together with Roman look for a destination for the day. As the sails are hoisted and the Ortolan is on course, we can really enjoy the early autumn feeling of October. Lest it get cold on your fingers, Rocki provides fresh coffee and hot cocoa during the day. At lunchtime we serve a delicious lunch under sail. Enjoy the ease that sailing brings. Put your cell phone on mute, read a book and just let your mind and soul wander and fill up with energy. Our home port of Stavoren is the perfect starting point for the weekend, from here we can sail within a few wonderful hours to Enkhuizen, Medemblik, Urk. Or Lemmer. When we arrive at the harbor in the afternoon, you have time to explore the place on your own, stroll through narrow streets, along rustic canals and beautiful buildings. In the evening you will be culinary treated by Rocki with a two-course menu. Moreover we have put together a beer tasting with beers that are brewed along the Ijsselmeer and Wadden Sea. You can end the evening either in our cozy Livingroom on board or in one of the convivial cafés.

On Sunday we serve a varied brunch buffet so that everyone can sleep in as long as they desire. In the meantime we set sail and course for our home port. Back in Stavoren, you leave with a real holiday feeling and loads of energy. An experience that you will remember for a long time.
