“Spring is nature that says, “Let’s have a party!”

On Friday evenings, Rocki and Roman warmly welcome you on board of their two mast clipper called the “Ortolan”. After you have moved into your cabins, we will meet on deck. There you will get a little sailing instruction from the first mate before we sail out of the harbor and into the night *. Together we hoist the sails and enjoy the evening. When the sun is replaced by the moon we drop anchor. Up in the Kuip (seating area) a nice ambience is set up with candles, lights, blankets, pillows and music. Enjoy your evening with may punch and typical Dutch snacks (Borrelhappjes), get to know new people, chat and dance in a very special way into May.
On Saturday we start the day with a breakfast buffet, so that everyone who wants to turn around in bed can do so. We discuss the weather situation and together we choose a destination that we can reach by sailing. How about the former island of Urk, or beautiful Enkhuizen or Hoorn, which were shaped by the VOC era? As soon as a decide where we want to go, we are on our way to our destination for the day. While sailing you have all the time to just relax. Take time for conversations, magazines, books or just for yourself. Try your skills at the steering wheel or pull on the sheets and ropes to get the Ortolan on course and speed. At lunchtime, a delicious meal is served under sail, but also between the main courses there will be fruit, cake and fresh coffee and thee served. We will reach port in the afternoon. There you have the chance to discover the town on your own. Stroll through small alleys and across sweet beaches, discover the harbor town and the nature around it. In the evening Rocki will cook a 2 course dinner on board. Afterwards you can end the evening in a convivial café in the harbor or in peace in our cozy Livingroom area on board.
On Sunday we will sail comfortably back to our home port of Stavoren. During the trip you will of course be provided with all kinds of delicious goodies again. Lying in front of Stavoren, we strike the sails and get ready to moor. Now it’s time to travel back home, with fresh energy, a great experience and, maybe even with some new friends.
* Good weather conditions so that we can anchor / sail to the next port are a requirement, otherwise we will organize a location in the port of Stavoren.
